Success is in the Follow Up

Does it feel like you never stop networking, marketing, putting the word out and yet your leads are just petering out?

Your success at growing your business is in the follow-up.  As busy entrepreneurs we put so much energy in getting out to networking meetings, passing out our cards, having meaningful conversations and those of us that are diligent manage to send a follow up email within a few days.  But that is typically where it ends.

Think back to the last time you started working with a new service provider or purchased a new product, chances are they had to connect with you more than once to earn your business – even if you knew you wanted to work with them – simply because you are so busy.  Well chances are high that the people you are trying to work with are super busy too and will need multiple points of contact.

We have offer follow-up services to our clients but like the cobbler’s shoeless children were not super at doing it ourselves.  We managed to get to the events, send the follow up email and probably request permission to add you to our newsletter but that’s where it ended.

Last month we implemented the follow-up processes we use for our clients for our own business development purposes and to use another cliche – the success is in the pudding.  In the last month and half It’s Your Time has brought on 5 new clients and things don’t seem to be slowing down.
