It’s Your Time is pleased to provide the professional services to you described on your invoice. This letter confirms our understanding of the terms and objectives of our engagement and the nature and limitations of the service we will provide. This engagement between you and our firm will be governed by the terms of this letter.
BOOKKEEPING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Purpose
The purpose of this engagement is to provide the specified bookkeeping services as outlined in “Your Investment” and as requested by email going forward.
Scope and Output of the Engagement
You have engaged us to maintain the scope of services for You detailed herein. You will review and approve all work product created or changed by our firm.
Without limiting the extent of the work we may provide for you, we will perform only the specified services at the specified intervals for this engagement.
Scope of limitations
Our engagement cannot be relied upon to disclose errors, irregularities or illegal acts, including fraud or defalcations, which may exist. We may inform you of any matters that come to our attention.
Unanticipated Services
Only the services which are listed in the “Your Investment” section are included within the scope of our instructions. If there is additional work that you wish us to carry out which is not listed in there, it will be quoted to you before the commencement of said additional work. Once the scope of the additional work is agreed upon, via email it will be considered to be part of this agreement.
Furthermore, you agree that if an unanticipated need arises (such as an audit, an amended tax return or a personal financial statement required as part of a loan agreement), this additional work will be performed only after arriving at a mutually agreed-upon price and a Change of Service Request is accepted via email.
Service and Price Guarantee
It’s Your Time will always stand behind the quality and professional nature of the services that we offer. If at any point you are not completely satisfied with the services we have performed, we encourage you to bring this to our attention immediately. We’d love the opportunity to address your concerns and allow us a chance to win your trust back and prevent similar problems from happening in the future.
If you are still not satisfied with the outcome of our services, we will work towards a mutual agreement regarding the termination of services with a smooth hand-off to your new provider.
Ownership of Documents
All original documents obtained from the client arising from the engagement shall remain your property. However, we reserve the right to make a reasonable number of copies of the original documents for our records.
The electronic documents, working papers, files, other materials, reports and work created, developed or performed by us during the engagement are the property of our firm, constitute confidential information and will be retained by us in accordance with our firm’s policies and procedures. The final work product shall be your property.
Client Responsibilities
In conducting this engagement, information acquired by us in the course of the engagement is subject to strict confidentiality requirements. That information will not be disclosed by us to other parties except as required or allowed for by law, or with your express written consent.
You are responsible for the reliability, accuracy and completeness of the accounting records, particulars and information provided and for disclosure of all material and relevant information. You are required to arrange for reasonable access by us to relevant individuals and documents, and shall be responsible for both the completeness and accuracy of the information supplied to us. Any advice given to you is only an opinion based on our knowledge of your particular circumstances.
Communication & Clean Up Charges
Bookkeeping clients are expected to use our bookkeeping portal. Portal questions that are not answered or financial account statements that are not provided by your authorized representative via the client portal within 30 days will result in your bookkeeping services being moved to a clean-up status. A question is considered answered when the necessary information has been received and there are no more follow-up questions or clarifications needed.
Your work has been resourced and scheduled to occur according to our agreement. When we are unable to complete the work due to not receiving the requested documents, it creates stress on our workflow and often additional costs as we have to re-resource that work. If your status has been moved to a clean-up status, a Clean-up Fee of $150 will be added to the monthly invoice to help cover these additional costs.
Clean Up Charges
If we encounter errors, inconsistencies, or incomplete records, or if we are given financial records from previous periods (receipts, undisclosed bank or credit card accounts etc.) that require additional time for correction and reconciliation, we will treat this as a Clean Up Project and charge for our time for this additional work at our current hourly rate. We will notify you before beginning any work on the project.

You will be solely responsible for supplying us with all information, materials, data and documents necessary to perform our Services. We shall not be held responsible for the production of inaccurate or untimely work if the information supplied by you has been inaccurate or untimely.
Communication
New work requests must be sent to our IYT email or designated IYT platforms. Sending new work requests through other modes of communication or your own internal email address reduces our ability to provide quality assurance and full coverage.
