Client Responsibilities

In conducting this engagement, information acquired by us in the course of the engagement is subject to strict confidentiality requirements. That information will not be disclosed by us to other parties except as required or allowed for by law, or with your express written consent.

You are responsible for the reliability, accuracy and completeness of the accounting records, particulars and information provided and for disclosure of all material and relevant information. Communication & Clean Up Charges

Bookkeeping clients are expected to use our bookkeeping portal. Portal questions that are not answered or financial account statements that are not provided by your authorized representative via the client portal within 30 days will result in your bookkeeping services being moved to a clean-up status. A question is considered answered when the necessary information has been received and there are no more follow-up questions or clarifications needed. The 30-day timer for questions begins on the date the original question was asked. The 30-day timer for financial account statements begins on the date of the financial account statement.

Your work has been resourced and scheduled to occur according to our agreement. When we are unable to complete the work due to not receiving the requested documents, it creates stress on our workflow and often additional costs as we have to re-resource that work. If your status has been moved to a clean-up status, a Clean-up Fee of $150 will be added to the monthly invoice to help cover these additional costs.

If we encounter errors, inconsistencies, or incomplete records, or if we are given financial records from previous periods (receipts, undisclosed bank or credit card accounts etc.) that require additional time for correction and reconciliation, we will treat this as a Clean Up Project and charge for our time for this additional work at our current hourly rate. We will notify you before beginning any work on the project.

To resume an active status:

  1. All clean-up projects must be completed.
  2. All questions must be answered.
  3. All financial statements that have been requested must be provided.
  4. You must be current on all payments.
  5. Any errors, inconsistencies, or incomplete records will need to be resolved.

If you do not agree to Clean-up Fee or Clean Up Project hourly charges, then this contract will end immediately. You may reach back to us at a later date to enter into a new agreement subject to our availability and discretion. Clean-up projects may require a retainer depending on the size of the project.

IYT values a Play Nice culture. We will always treat you and each other with respect and aim to improve each other’s lives by how we engage with you and each other.

Our Staff are not permitted to continue working with clients that do not embrace this value.
